Ms. Sie Meng Lee
IFMSA REPRESENTATIVE
Sie Meng Lee, MD, MSc, currently serves on the Board as representative of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA). She serves IFMSA as Liaison Officer to the World Health Organization, representing a network of 1.5 million medical students worldwide. In this role, she coordinates engagement with multilateral health institutions, including the WHO, and works to advance meaningful youth participation in global health governance. She also serves on the Steering Committee of the WHO Youth Council.
She is a dedicated advocate for strengthening the sustainability of global health systems and enhancing meaningful youth engagement. She has represented medical students at multiple World Health Assemblies, WHO Executive Board meetings, WHO Regional Committees, and the UN Commission on the Status of Women. In addition, she brings extensive experience in building civil society coalitions at both national and international levels, fostering multisectoral collaboration, and facilitating capacity building and peer education initiatives, supported by both formal and informal experience in health education.
Alongside her global health work, she practices as a junior doctor in Emergency Medicine in Rotterdam.
