Ms. Michelle Kirkbride

Board Member

Michelle Kirkbride is a Community Development Manager working in healthcare in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg and has a strong interest in the relationship between community development and healthcare. She has also been a Board Member of the Global Alliance for Health Promotion since 2024, continuing to support global health promotion initiatives and collaborations with international partners.

She has worked at the NorWest Co-op Community Health Centre since 1999 and has managed the NorWest Community Development team for 26 years. During this time, she helped the team grow from three staff members to over fifty.

In her role, she has led the implementation of programs such as Gilbert Park Going Places, Neighbourhood Settlement, and HANS KAI. This work included recruiting and training staff for new and innovative programs. She has also been one of the lead staff members involved in the development and implementation of HANS KAI in Winnipeg and has supported training initiatives across North America.

She continues to contribute to Canadian national projects while supporting broader health promotion initiatives.
